The clients asked for an orangery type extension at the lower ground floor at the back and remodelling of the house for their family needs, with an easy access to the patio and the garden beyond. The lower ground floor extension adds the dining room and kitchen to the original house footprint keeping series of informal and open spaces for family activities. The upper ground floor is designed as more formal series of reception rooms with a study room in a new extension at the side.The side extension at the upper ground floor level with the gable roof matching the main roof gables replaced the existing poorly constructed lean-to extension.
